What is Empathy? Empathy is the ability to recognize, understand, and share the thoughts and feelings of another person, animal, or fictional character. Developing empathy is crucial for establishing relationships and behaving compassionately.        Empathy is seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another and feeling with the heart of another.       Empathy has no script. there is no right way or wrongway tro do it. It's simply listening, holding space withholding judgement , emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message "you're not alone".      It's extremly powerful to hear someone say, "I get you, i understand you.  I see why you feel this way". this kind of empathy disarms us. The great Gift of human  beings is that we have the power of Empathy.   The Nature of Humanity , it's essence , is to feel another's pain as one's own, and to act to take that pain away. There is  nobility in compassion , a beauty in empathy, a grace in forgivness.

This can include sharing food and water, offering shelter, and providing emotional support. After an earthquake, people may feel scared, anxious, and overwhelmed.  Helping others can also create a sense of connection ...

It is different from similar concepts, such as compassion, and involves the expression of our sense of solidarity with others and the ability to put ourselves in their place.      Empathy allows us to build healthy relationships with other people, to help in emergency cases and to do good to those around us.
